Cheltenham Break

Hello Everyone

Hope you are having a lovely few days of work and enjoying all the festivities, London is amazing at the moment, there is such a good atmosphere and it's nice to see the UK so patriotic. It doesn't feel like it's very often we all get together and just enjoy being 'British'!

However, rather than stay in London for the Weekend, me and the other half went on a little break to Cheltenham in Gloucestershire.

We travelled up on Saturday morning which was a lovely drive, luckily we just missed all the celebrations and parades and managed to drive through Central London fairly quickly! We arrived in Cheltenham at about 3pm (after a few pit stops and various service stations!) and checked into our Hotel for the night 'Hotel du Vin'. Hotel du Vin is a stone throw from the town centre but on a very quiet, idyllic little street so the hustle and bustle of the busy town are a distant murmur.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the service is fantastic and we absolutely loved our room. Each room is named after famous wines and champagnes, we stayed in 'Madfish' which is on the first floor of the hotel. The room was amazing, with a huge luxurious bathtub in the bedroom as well as a gorgeous shower in the separate bathroom.

As we started to unpack our things and have a little browse around the room, there was a knock at the door which was a waitress with a glass of champagne for us both, compliments of the Hotel Manager. What a lovely gesture!?

After I drank both glasses (the boy doesn't drink) we slipped into our swimming gear and headed down to the Spa. I was treated to a Zen Spa Pedicure and an Express Facial, the Boy had a pedicure too (Shhh!) We both also spent some time in the steam room so went back to the hotel feeling fresh and revived. The Spa was small but perfectly formed, there was soothing music playing in all rooms, and the therapists were all friendly but very professional.

Before we knew it, it was time to start getting ready for our dinner reservation at 9.15pm in the Hotel's Bistro. In the Bistro, I picked my starter and main from the specials board which is presented on a blackboard at the table - a really lovely, personal touch I thought with all dishes chosen by the Bistro chefs on the day - I chose the Leak and Potato soup and the Sausage and Mash (which was a lot more glamorous than it sounds!) The food was fresh, the meat was quality and cooked to absolute perfection.

I have to say, this weekend made me realise that I am a bit of a lightweight! After 3 glasses of champagne and a hearty, gorgeous meal, I was ready for bed! All in all, it was a really really lovely day and I cant wait to go back to try some more Hotel du Vin's.

Here are a few pictures from our lovely jubilee weekend break.

Lots of love

Collective Haul - Jubilee Weekender

Hey Beautys!

Hope you are all really well and looking forward to the 4 day weekend and all the patriotic festivities? I am SO excited! (Mainly about the 4 day weekend if I am honest!).

I'm off to Cheltenham today with the other half to stay in 'Hotel du Vin' which also have it's own little health spa so naturally I have booked myself in for an express facial and a zen spa pedicure. The Boy is also having a pedicure (shhhh!).

Hotel du Vin are famous for their Bistros so I had to book a table and I cannot wait to try some of their yummy 'quintessentially British' dishes.

Being the shopaholic that I am, I couldn't resist getting a few new bits to take away.

Can't wait to tell you all about it!

How will you all be spending the 4 day weekend? Are you planning or go to any Jubilee parties?

Lots of love

H&M Haul

I LOVE H&M at the moment! They are nailing it with their summer shades with rails and rails of neon, pastels and metallic's.

Its hard to be good but I think I did quite well today considering! my personal favourite is the neon yellow statement necklace, I think it'll look fab with absolutely everything! I am going to team it up with the long black sleeveless shirt and a pair of black skinny's tomorrow. I am also in LOVE with the metallic skirt, I have a very similar leather look one from Zara and I love the style, it's so flattering and not too short so perfect for work.

These piece's were all from One New Change near St Paul's tube station.

Hope you love as much as I do.

Lots of kisses

Dip Dyed Hair

Since falling in love with Caroline Flacks dip dyed hair on the Xtra Factor - I knew I had to give it a go! I resisted for a while because as a natural blonde who isn't quite brave enough yet to go for a pink or blue dip my only real option would be to go for a dark blonde or light brown but I always worried it wouldn't look right.

But today something come over me and I had to do it!

I used Garnier Nurrisse in Dark Blonde and application was simple. I just pinned up the top layers of my hair then put the remaining hair that I wanted dyed into pigtails.

Then all I did was rub the dye in quite messily on the ends of my hair - I didn't want it to look too straight so I was only really careful not to get spots or patches on the bits I wanted to keep blonde.

The dye said it needed 30 minutes to develop but I noticed after about 10 minutes it was getting very dark so I quickly washed it out, smeared the conditioner that comes with the dye into the coloured bits of hair then washed out.

I am SO pleased with the results and I can't wait to experiment with other colours now! I will Definitely be brave enough to go for baby pink next time!

I have included some pictures below of some more awesome dip dyed hair.

What do you think of this new trend? Have you already tried it or will be be trying it?

A Summers day in Oxford

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon strolling around Oxford after a work meeting at the Malmaison Hotel and I have to say - I am in love! It is SUCH a gorgeous city and has so many lovely sites. I also picked the perfect day for it! Hello summer!

Here a a few snaps of my sightings - there would have been loads more but I had a huge bag so didn't explore as much as I should have. I will definitely be going back!

Have you been to Oxford? Did you love it as much as I did?
