H&M Haul

I LOVE H&M at the moment! They are nailing it with their summer shades with rails and rails of neon, pastels and metallic's.

Its hard to be good but I think I did quite well today considering! my personal favourite is the neon yellow statement necklace, I think it'll look fab with absolutely everything! I am going to team it up with the long black sleeveless shirt and a pair of black skinny's tomorrow. I am also in LOVE with the metallic skirt, I have a very similar leather look one from Zara and I love the style, it's so flattering and not too short so perfect for work.

These piece's were all from One New Change near St Paul's tube station.

Hope you love as much as I do.

Lots of kisses

Dip Dyed Hair

Since falling in love with Caroline Flacks dip dyed hair on the Xtra Factor - I knew I had to give it a go! I resisted for a while because as a natural blonde who isn't quite brave enough yet to go for a pink or blue dip my only real option would be to go for a dark blonde or light brown but I always worried it wouldn't look right.

But today something come over me and I had to do it!

I used Garnier Nurrisse in Dark Blonde and application was simple. I just pinned up the top layers of my hair then put the remaining hair that I wanted dyed into pigtails.

Then all I did was rub the dye in quite messily on the ends of my hair - I didn't want it to look too straight so I was only really careful not to get spots or patches on the bits I wanted to keep blonde.

The dye said it needed 30 minutes to develop but I noticed after about 10 minutes it was getting very dark so I quickly washed it out, smeared the conditioner that comes with the dye into the coloured bits of hair then washed out.

I am SO pleased with the results and I can't wait to experiment with other colours now! I will Definitely be brave enough to go for baby pink next time!

I have included some pictures below of some more awesome dip dyed hair.

What do you think of this new trend? Have you already tried it or will be be trying it?

A Summers day in Oxford

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon strolling around Oxford after a work meeting at the Malmaison Hotel and I have to say - I am in love! It is SUCH a gorgeous city and has so many lovely sites. I also picked the perfect day for it! Hello summer!

Here a a few snaps of my sightings - there would have been loads more but I had a huge bag so didn't explore as much as I should have. I will definitely be going back!

Have you been to Oxford? Did you love it as much as I did?

Sally Hansen Nail Stickers

I love doing my nails and LOVE nail art so I cant believe I have only just tried Nail Stickers. I have always been a fan of Sally Hansen products so when I saw her gorgeous range of stickers I had to give them a go.

I went for the lace design (I have stupidly thrown away the box so I'm not sure on the exact name). They also come in animal print - I saw Zebra and Leopard but I am sure there are heaps more. They cost around £7.00 (Again, sorry I don't have the exact price)

They look fairly straight forward to apply, in the box you get 16 stickers, a cuticle stick and a nail file. All you have to do before applying them is make sure all polish is removed so once I did that, I was ready to go.

True to their word, they are very easy to apply, The first couple went a little bit bumpy but because of the print you cant really see the bumps and once I got the hang of it, they were really easy. The stickers are quite big so you just need to file off the excess which again is really easy.

Once the stickers are on, you just need to give them a quick wipe with some nail polish remover to get off any excess dust from filing off the edges and you are good to go!

They claim they last 10 days and I've had mine on for 4 days now and they are still looking great!

Sally Hansen impresses once again!

Have you tried nail stickers? Are you a fan?

FaceTime Love

Hello Girlies

So it's rare I blog about something other than fashion or beauty but I just had to say... FaceTime! Best invention ever and I only experienced it yesterday! I have had an iPhone and iPad for god knows how long but neve thought to try it so the Hubby and I gave it a go last night... SO much fun. Such a good tool especially when you have long periods away from your loved ones, all you need is a iPhone, iPad or touch as well as a wi-fi connection and you are good to go!

It is completely free so no excuse not to try it. Phone calls will never be the same again!

Anyways, hope you all have a gorgeous day! The sun is shining here in London - about time too!

Lots of love

Miss Sporty Nail Varnish in 14 - Review

So the first product to review from my High Street make up haul was the Miss Sporty nail varnish in 14.

I realised as soon as I opened the bottle that the polish was very thick so I watered it down slightly with some nail polish remover (not something you'd expect to do the first time you use a polish!) but even then when I applied the polish it still felt really thick and almost a bit dry so it looked really streaky and messy on. I went for a second coat because I know pastel colours tend to need a few coats but I still wasn't overly impressed as it still looked really streaky and to be honest quite cheap! It is a gorgeous colour and I suppose for £1.99 what can you expect but I did expect a little bit more from quite a well known high street brand.

What do you think of Miss Sporty? Have you ever tried their nail polishes?

High Street Make Up Haul

I must admit, I have always been a bit of a make up snob when it comes to make up and over the years I have convinced myself that if I don't buy a premium make up brand, it just wont work as well but just recently, I have changed my opinion.

It all started when I started wearing Rimmel's Soft Kohl eyeliner, it retails at just £2.99 and I completely swear by it. I have started trying loads more high street brands and every so often, have a mad little spree.

These are the things I brought it Superdrug today:

Barry M Lipgloss in 5 - £ 4.49
Miss Sporty Nail Varnish in 14 - £1.99
Extra Super Lash Mascara by Rimmel (Black) £4.99
Rimmel Professional Eyebrow pencil in 002 Hazel - £2.99
Barry M Magnetic Nail Varnish in Dark Silver (Especially cant wait to try this!) - £4.99

& lastly my trusty Soft Kohl Eyeliner from Rimmel - £2.99

Look out for reviews on each of these products this week! Oh and just a heads up! I didn't realise that Superdrug now have a loyalty card, just like the advantage card from Boots! If you haven't already, go grab one! I love spending my points in Boots don't you?

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

Lots of love

My week in photos #002

Hey Lovelies

Firstly I have to say - SUMMER IS HERE! Even if it is only for the weekend, what a gorgeous one! It has been the perfect end to a perfect week! To be honest this week has been pretty lazy, work - home, work - home, work - home then had quite a chilled out weekend, had a lovely lunch in Danson Park which is in Bexley, Kent on Saturday afternoon then went to see Avengers on Saturday night - I must admit, despite all it's good reviews, I wasn't a huge fan! I have never really been a lover of sci-fi'y films, I would have much rather seen American Pie The Reunion or What to Expect when Expecting! Definitely my kind of movies!

One day in the week I also had a bit of an explore around my new work area, there are some really really pretty buildings in The City. It's funny all the things you miss when you pass them everyday!

I'm sure you'll notice I have had a complete blog re-vamp this week, I think I am still happy with it but I plan to spend a couple of hours on it today, doing a few more tweaks! I am NEVER ever satisfied!

How has your week been? Have you had good weather too? & lastly.. What do you think of the new layout?

Lots of love

Label Lust - Mink Pink

At LAST! One of my favourite brands I discovered whilst I was travelling in Australia is well and truly here! It has been stocked in very small supplies in a few places over the years but now you can find it all over the place - asos, Urban Outfitters, Harrods, Shopbop and a number of independent boutiques. Have a little looksie at some of my favourite pieces from their Summer collection. This selection pretty much sums up the brand to a T. Pretty, floral, girly, folky with a hint of rock.

Have you ever brought anything by Mink Pink? What do you think?

Collar Obsession

They say you should have a capsule wardrobe and I always think - Yeah righ as if I am going to wear the same combination of outfits week in week out. But recently I find my self living and I mean literally Monday to Sunday in these gorgeous shirts. I have an obsession with shirts! Long sleeves, 3 quarter sleeves, sleeveless.. I don't care what sleeve as long as it has a collar!

What I love the most about shirts this season is you can dress them up for work, dress them down for weekends and they look adorable with a little cardi or blazer - Perfect for this awful weather we are having in the uk. I love collars and shirts so much that I am thinking of getting a few detachable collars to add to some of my tops!

So.... Here it is! The top half of my capsule wardrobe. Wow! I said it. My capsule wardrobe!

Are you as obsessed with shirts as me? Have you tried the de-tach able collars?

Lots of love

My week in photos #001

So this is my first ever week in photos post but it seems to be the done thing to do in the blogging world! Hehe!
I had such an awesome week, went up to Winchester with work to spend the day with one of my lovely colleague, Had a bit of a Zara haul, then spent the long weekend with my gorgeous Boyfriend and Boyfriend Junior. We went to the Science Museum yesterday and out of all the times I have been to the Science museum, this was the best time - Mainly because we spent the majority of the day on the kids floor! Then since it was so rainy yesterday, we done a little of bit of shopping - well tried too, I picked up abut 6 things in Primark then got impatient with the ridiculous queue so left those for another day and went and got my BEAUTIFUL Darice Spring wedge high tops from River Island. Today Bank Holiday Monday only means one thing... Sofa, Blanket, Lots of cups of tea and Blogging! :)

Hope your week was a good as mine.

Lots of love x

Lust Alert #002 - River Island 'Darice Spring' High Top Wedges

Ever since I saw Beyonce wearing the Isabel Marant Bekket High Top wedges in her Love on Top video, I have been in love. So it makes me very happy to find an amazing copy that cost a fraction of the price! Introducing Darice Spring by River Island. They cost just £40.00! About £400.00 less than the originals and I don't know about you but I think I actually prefer the River Island ones! I like the fact they have laces instead of Velcro, I think Velcro straps can look a bit bulky. Love them! Best purchase in a long time and I can't wait to wear them and wear them again and again!

These also come in grey and white so I am definitely thinking about getting a pair of those too, they'll look great in the summer.

You can get these online or in store www.riverisland.com
